Currently, there are no dedicated food scrap collection services in the area. At-home composting is a good option for recycling food waste into rich soil. Various composting resources can be found online and at your local library to get you started.
Rescue food that's too good to waste
Food banks accept non-perishable food items, including canned fruit, vegetables, meats, soups, boxed pasta, cereals, oatmeal, sugar, honey, flour, and juices. River Bend Foodbank provides information about donating food before it goes bad.
